Crabrawler and Crabominable are two Pokemon that were released in Gen 7 to mixed reviews and brought back for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. While some were charmed by these boxing glove coconut crabs, many were quick to point out the flaws in its design and stats.
Unfortunately, despite its unique Fighting/Ice-typing, Crabominable does not do so well competitively because of its low bulk and mediocre stats. Despite this, it is a beloved Pokemon available to catch in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
How To Get Crabrawler in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Crabrawler is most often found on beaches, with the exception of Glaseado Mountain, where it can be seen in herds with Crabominable. It has a five percent chance of holding an Aspear Berry, a berry that, when fed to a Pokemon, can cure the Frozen status condition. It can also cure the Frozen status condition in battle without requiring a move.
Crabrawler can be found in the following locations:
- Glaseado Mountain
- Casseroya Lake
- Glaseado Mountain
- North Province (Area Three)
- North Province (Area One)
It can also be found in one-star Tera Raids.
How To Evolve Crabrawler in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Crabrawler uses a tried and true evolution method, the Ice Stone. Exposing a Crabrawler to an Ice Stone at any level will evolve it into Crabominable, so there is no need to level a Crabrawler through the usual methods.
How To Get Crabominable in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Crabominable, unlike its pre-evolution Crabrawler, can only be caught in one location. For this reason, it may be wise for players to evolve a Crabrawler rather than wait to encounter a Crabominable in the wild. That being said, Crabominables encountered in the wild will have reasonably high levels that require less grinding to level up.
It has a five percent chance of holding the Cheri Berry, a reddish berry that can be fed to a Pokemon to cure paralysis. If a Pokemon is holding a Cheri Berry when an opponent uses a paralyzing move, it will instantly cure itself, requiring no extra move.
- Glaseado Mountain
It can also be found in four-star Tera raids.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
