The beginning of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom focuses around visiting a series of Shrines on Great Sky Island in order to obtain some important abilities. While the majority of these Shrines are quite easy to access, there is one that some players may struggle to reach. More specifically, fans may run into some trouble as they attempt to enter The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Gutanbac Shrine, which is located within a snowy portion of the Great Sky Island, and this guide is here to offer some assistance.

To note, while the Shrine on Great Sky Island's snowy mountain is likely to be the third Shrine that most players enter, it is technically possible to enter it second. For those Zelda fans that have already traveled to the Gutanbac Shrine and need help reaching the other Shrine in the area, it is recommended that they seek a guide detailing the In-isa Shrine.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - How to Get to Third Shrine

Starting from TotK's In-isa Shrine (0027, -1503, 1408), players should descend the stairs, take a right at the bottom, and follow the path to reach the Pondside Cave at coordinates 0149, -1635, 1378. Fans should now pass through this cave and exit out the other side.

In the area just beyond the Pondside Cave, players must use their Ultrahand ability to construct a boat from the materials that are on the ground. This can be done very simply by attaching a fan to the back of a single log, or players can use a slightly more complicated configuration like the one depicted above. Once the boat has been built, players should use Tears of the Kingdom's Ultrahand ability to place it in the water, stand on top of the vessel, and hit the fan to reach the other side

Back on dry land, players should follow the path to reach the Mining Cave at coordinates 0393, -1615, 1412. As players walk through this cave, they will meet a Construct that provides information about using Brightbloom Seeds. Fans should then use that information to attach Brightbloom Seeds to their arrows (hold ZR, press up on the d-pad, and select the item) and light their path into the Forge.

In the Forge, players should speak with the Forge Construct to learn about Energy Cells and the Mining Construct to learn about Zonai Capsules. This second conversation will lead to the acquisition of some Fans, and players should locate them within their inventories, take one out, and use Ultrahand to attach it to the back of a nearby cart. Players should then place their fan-powered cart on the tracks at coordinates 0489, -1640, 1375, hop inside, and strike the device to move along the rails.

When the cart comes to a halt, players should approach the TotK Device Dispenser at coordinates 0435, -1680, 1443 and speak with the Construct to get a tutorial. Fans should then head east to the Pit Cave at 0580, -1625, 1442, making sure to pick the Spicy Peppers that are growing just outside the entrance. These peppers should then be cooked in the pot inside the cave to create food that provides temporary Cold Resistance.

With the food in hand, players should continue through the cave, climbing to exit at coordinates 0633, -1637, 1485. Fans will now find themselves in the snow, and they should eat their Cold Resistance food in Tears of the Kingdom before following the path northward to the Bottomless Cave at coordinates 0717, -1444, 1486.

Fans must now simply advance through the cave, bypassing the enemies that they encounter by approaching them, waiting for them to open, and firing an arrow at the orb that is revealed. After traveling a short distance, players will find themselves leaving the cave at coordinates 0725, -1356, 1542, and there are several large roots hanging directly in front of the exit. Link can climb these roots simply by walking onto them, and they lead directly to Tears of the Kingdom's Gutanbac Shrine.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
