In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link embarks on a new quest that picks up a short time after the events of Breath of the Wild. An ancient enemy has awakened in the Kingdom of Hyrule, and Link must set out once again to face it head-on. While it retains the freedom of choice and vast open world of its predecessor, Tears of the Kingdom puts a much larger emphasis on story, and the series of main quests are all the better for it.

Tears of the Kingdom features 24 main story quests, which take Link to every corner of the kingdom. This guide will contain a list of each mission, along with its location and who gives it. Players looking to get a sense of Tears of the Kingdom's size, as well as those simply looking to gauge their progress, will find everything they need here.

Rauru in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Tears of the Kingdom begins with Link and Zelda making their way through the caverns beneath Hyrule Castle. When they come across a mysterious floating arm seemingly holding a mummified creature in place, a chain of events is set in motion that leads to the creature being revived, Zelda sent to the past, and Link gravely injured.

Sometime later, Link awakens to find his arm replaced with the very same arm that had been holding the creature in place. He is met by the spirit of Rauru, who claims to be the former owner of Link's new arm. Rauru teaches Link about his newly acquired abilities, eventually setting him off on his quest to find Zelda.
