Where to find and start the “Decorate with Passion” Side Adventure

In Tears of the Kingdom, Link can begin the Side Adventure "Decorate with Passion" by traveling to the Kara Kara Bazaar, located within the Gerudo Desert at coordinates -3187, -2505, 0023. The bazaar is contained within a large oasis and features a handful of Gerudo merchants.

To easily reach the Kara Kara Bazaar, players have two options: fast traveling to the nearby Turakamik Shrine at coordinates -2657, -2237, 0067 and following the desert road, or by gliding down from the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower located at coordinates -2432, -2178, -0307.

At coordinates -3225, -2518, 0023, at the eastern edge of the Oasis, Link will encounter Boraa, a frustrated Gerudo sitting under shelter. Boraa is troubled by a particular demand from her mentor, who seeks a weapon adorned with a specific decoration.

In order to fulfill her mentor's request, Boraa is tasked with creating a weapon that must “sparkle” and “radiate burning passion.” These are hints to guide Link towards the specific item he must find for the decoration. Additionally, Boraa emphasizes that Monster Parts cannot be utilized for this particular endeavor, narrowing down Link's options even further.

To create this perfect weapon, Link will need to procure a Ruby, one of the eight materials that can be obtained from ore deposits in the game. Link can find these deposits by searching for large black rocks that often glisten with embedded gems. To extract the minerals, any melee weapon can be used, particularly a powerful bludgeoning option such as one with a rock fused onto it or a more specialized weapon like the Cobble Crusher or Boulder Breaker, which were designed by the Goron specifically for breaking rocks.

Link mines Rubies in Tears of the Kingdom

Obtaining Rubies is not any more difficult than acquiring other gems in the game, save for Diamonds which are much rarer. Link can typically locate ore deposits within various caves, including those accessed from deep inside wells. Multiple ore deposits can be discovered in the mountainous Eldin region that surrounds Goron City.

Additionally, Link has the opportunity to obtain Rubies by attacking the ore deposits situated atop the Stone Talus enemies. There are also a handful of amiibo figures that can reward ores such as Rubies when scanned, including any Princess Zelda amiibo and, unsurprisingly, the Daruk the Goron amiibo.

After acquiring a Ruby, the next step is to fuse it onto a weapon to create an ideal weapon for Boraa's mentor. To accomplish this, open the inventory and select a Ruby. Choose the "Hold" option and exit the menu with the B button. Place the Ruby on the ground before you by pressing the A button. Equip any melee weapon and access the ability wheel to select the "Fuse" option. Finally, press the corresponding button to fuse the Ruby with your currently equipped weapon.

Once the weapon is equipped, show it to Boraa and inquire, "What about this?" Boraa will be astonished and ask to examine the weapon in order to determine the necessary steps to create the perfect weapon for her mentor. She is thrilled and confident that her mentor would love a weapon such as this. As a reward, she will present Link with an Electric Keese Wing and suggests using it to decorate one of his own weapons. Link will retain the weapon he showed Boraa, which now possesses a +1 attack bonus from the fusion and the ability to deal fire damage.
