As players enter the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they will find that the device inside is not working. To address this issue, fans must complete a simple task that centers around assisting a trapped NPC. This guide is here to provide more details on that task, and players that read on should have no trouble unlocking The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Popla Foothills Skyview Tower.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Popla Foothills Skyview Tower Walkthrough

In order to fix the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower (coordinates 0602, -2118, 0098), players must enter the Popla Foothills Excavation Site. While there are two ways to access this cave, the entrance that players should focus on is located at coordinates 0608, -2213, 0052. To reach those coordinates, players should simply head south from the tower and use TotK's paraglider to safely fall from the cliff.

Upon entering the Popla Foothills Excavation Site, players should follow the path ahead to find Elmerson, an NPC that has gotten stuck in the cave. To free this character, fans must simply stand on the button at 0587, -2130, 0052, and he will provide a 50-rupee reward out of gratitude. Elmerson will also make his way up to the tower to fix it, and players should use TotK's Ascend ability to quickly reach the structure and examine the now-functional pedestal that is inside.

To note, there is a chest within the Popla Foothills Excavation Site that players may want to loot before returning to the surface and unlocking the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. This chest can be found behind a gate at coordinates 0580, -2146, 0052, which can be opened by using TotK's Ultrahand ability to grab the chest and then placing it upon a button that is on the other side of the bars. For those players that are curious, the chest holds Topaz, an ore that can "fetch a high price."

One final thing to mention is that the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower is not the only tower that can be a bit tricky to unlock. In particular, Tears of the Kingdom's Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower, which is northeast of Popla Foothills, may leave players scratching their heads. That said, fans that keep the lessons taught in this guide in mind should eventually be able to unlock that tower and reveal the associated section of the map.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
