In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can venture to the far northeastern corner of Hyrule to begin "The Lomei Labyrinth Island Prophecy". It's through this side quest's series of labyrinths on the surface, in the sky, and in The Depths, that players are able to get their hands on the Evil Spirit Armor in Tears of the Kingdom, but only if they are successful.
Lomei Labyrinth Island Location in TotK
Those that have played Breath of the Wild may remember Lomei Labyrinth Island in the waters off Akkala's northeastern coast. It still sits firmly in the top right corner of Hyrule's map at the coordinates 4655, 3555, 0089.
Players can quickly reach the labyrinth by fast traveling to the Jochi-iu Shrine and then climbing up the hill toward the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. It's a pretty straightforward route, but they should be wary of the monsters and Yiga Clan populating the hill as they make their ascent.
From the top of the hill, players can easily glide down to the Lomei Labyrinth Island's entrance.
They also have the option to build a flying machine from Zonai devices and then fly from either the top of the hill or from the Rasiwak Shrine on the nearby beach.
Once players reach the island, they should glide down to the small camp and stone tablet waiting out front.
Lomei Labyrinth Island Walkthrough
At the beginning of Lomei Labyrinth Island, players will find a stone tablet translated into a notebook at the adjacent research camp. It promises a reward for players that are able to conquer the labyrinth and its secrets.
The notebook also informs Link that the researcher who wrote it has left a trail of acorns and nuts to mark their way through the maze. The researcher has also left additional notebooks at various points throughout the labyrinth detailing their journey which will affirm the player's progress as they travel deeper inside.
For the easiest path forward, players can follow the researcher's trail through the labyrinth detailed in the map above. Lomei Labyrinth Island has been flooded and there are a few deep areas that players can fall in. Besides that, though, the passageways hold no other dangers. This leaves the option open for players to explore the other branches of the labyrinth to find its many hidden weapons and treasures.
After a long series of twisting hallways, the players will find the end of their path marked by braziers and should climb up the ladder and into the central chamber.
There, the player will find the Igashuk Shrine and a stone Zonai terminal waiting to be activated.
As Link activates the terminal in the room, he will be greeted by a mysterious voice claiming to be the ruler of dragons, and "The Lomei Labyrinth Island Prophecy" will be added to the player's Adventure Log. The ruler of dragons will then beckon Link to travel to the labyrinth floating in the sky above him.
Following the brief conversation, the gates around the chamber will open, allowing Link to jump and glide directly to the labyrinth's exit.
Lomei Labyrinth Island Shortcut
For players that wish to get through the labyrinth more quickly, they have to option to climb up and walk along the top of the labyrinth itself. Players are able to jump down to the location marked with a star on the map above at the coordinates 4626, 3687, 0089. From there, they are able to reach the end of the researcher's trail without traversing the flooded corridors of the labyrinth.
Lomei Sky Labyrinth Location in TotK
Players can find the Lomei Sky Labyrinth floating directly overtop Lomei Labyrinth Island at the coordinates 4655, 3500, 1010.
Players should make use of the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower to reach the Sokkala Sky Archipelago in the sky above. There, they can find the Zonai devices needed to create a functioning flying machine, or even use a pre-assembled one waiting as well.
Whether they make use of the archipelago's resources or not, players need to use a flying machine to reach the Lomei Sky Labyrinth. It is much too far for players to reach solely by gliding.
As players make their way through the sky, they are able to make a short pit stop on North Akkala Sky Archipelago if their Energy Cells are running low. The sky islands are directly in Link's path toward the Lomei Sky Labyrinth, so are hard for players to miss.
Link can use Zonai Charges to fill and even overcharge the capacity of his Energy Cells at any time. Furthermore, a Large Zonai Charge will fill all of Link's Energy Cells and prevent them from losing power for a short duration.
If players require additional Battery Zonai devices or even a new flying machine, the North Akkala Sky Archipelago has plenty of parts to spare for players to make the last leg of their journey.
As players approach the southern side of the Lomei Sky Labyrinth, they should spot the familiar green glow of a shrine on a platform jutting out from the larger structure.
After landing, players will find the Mogisari Shrine and another stone Zonai terminal waiting to be activated.
Activating this terminal will lead to the voice returning and describing its next challenge to Link: there are four other terminals within the labyrinth that must be activated. Soon after, the Lomei Sky Labyrinth's large stone door will open and players can venture inside.
Lomei Sky Labyrinth Walkthrough
To begin with, players should jump and glide to the large platform in the middle of the Lomei Sky Labyrinth to being their search. They should notice the strong updrafts and low gravity within the walls of the labyrinth, allowing Link to travel much further horizontally as he explores the labyrinth's bottomless corridors.
If needed, players shouldn't be afraid of letting go of their glider to drop underneath a wall in their path. As long as Link does not fall below the bottom of the labyrinth, reopening the glider will bring him back up to a safe level. However, players should be wise to watch their stamina meter and make frequent stops on the provided platforms to keep Link from falling to his doom.
Players can use the map above to plot a course through the winding maze of Lomei Sky Labyrinth and reach the four terminals.
The order in which they are activated does not matter, only that all four terminals are complete.
Alternatively, thanks to the open ceiling of the labyrinth, players can use a Zonai Spring or create a strong updraft with a fire and a Hylian Pine Cone to send Link high into the air above the structure.
Players can then travel to the end of each of the paths and drop from above to reach the terminals more quickly. However, players will need to make sure that they have enough resources to repeat this method several times.
Upon activating the final terminal, a large Zonai terminal will appear at the top of the Lomei Sky Labyrinth and the winds beneath the structure will increase in intensity. Link should now be able to ride the updraft all the way to the top of the labyrinth with no assistance needed.
The ruler of dragons will greet Link once more after activating the large terminal on the roof. A door to The Depths below has been opened and one more challenge remains.
Players are asked to test their courage and leap from the top of the Lomei Sky Labyrinth, through Lomei Labyrinth Island, and finally into the Lomei Depths Labyrinth below. It's a relatively straight descent, but players should be careful not to hit any walls or floating islands on their way down.
Lomei Depths Labyrinth Walkthrough
As players fall from the sky, they will pass through a now-open door in the central chamber of Lomei Labyrinth Island and into the chasm it concealed.
The bottom of the drop will be very dark, so players should either play it safe and glide the remaining way down or pack some Brightblooms to illuminate the bottom of the chasm.
When they land, players will see the light of a Construct's eyes beneath the grate at their feet. They should make their way down to the lower chamber of Lomei Depths Labyrinth to square off against a Flux Construct III.
If players are able to defeat the large boss, the terminal at the side of the room will illuminate allowing players to activate it. The ruler of dragons will speak to Link one final time and congratulate him on his triumph over the labyrinths' challenges.
A small chamber will rise from the ground with a chest containing the Evil Spirit Armor for the player to claim, bringing "The Lomei Labyrinth Island Prophecy" to a close.
Before leaving the Lomei Depths Labyrinth, players are able to find several chests containing Zonai weapons as well as a handful of Poes. Afterward, they can climb atop the labyrinth to activate the Kuhsagi Lightroot and illuminate the surrounding area of The Depths.
What Does the Evil Spirit Amor Do?
This chest armor is one of three pieces that make up the Evil Spirit Armor Set, which is based on Phantom Ganon's appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. On its own, it provides one level to Link's overall stealth, but when paired with the other two pieces of the set, Link gains a disguise that's able to trick most Stal enemies as well as proficiency with bone weapons.
