Those hoping to grow stronger in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are going to have to complete an awful lot of shrines. Thankfully, the first area that they arrive in after dropping down to the Kingdom of Hyrule provides players with plenty of options in this regard, with Hyrule Field playing home to numerous shrines.

One of these is the Kamizun Shrine, which is classed as a Proving Grounds challenge. This means that players will need to test their mettle against some fairly powerful Zelda enemies, though those who've been paying attention to the hints and tips provided thus far should have very little trouble here.

Kamizun Shrine Location

Players can find Kamizun Shrine on the east side of the Hyrule Field area. For those having trouble, it's due south of the Teniten Shrine and on the eastern border of the Forest of Time. It can be a little difficult to spot at first as the shrine is surrounded by trees, but the green glow that can be seen radiating above the tree branches should give players a pretty good idea of where to look even if they can't actually see the shrine itself. The coordinates for the Kamizun Shrine are -0178, -1559, 0022.

Rather than focussing on teaching players how to use one of Link's abilities or one of Tears of the Kingdom's many combat mechanics, the Kamizun Shrine serves as a test of the player's strength and strategy in battle. They'll need to take down a group of Soldier Constructs, all of whom are considerably more powerful than the ones that players run into out in the wild. Even so, with the right plan of attack, players should be able to take them down with relative ease.

One of the things that can make this shrine tricky is that players won't be able to use their own weapons and shields. Instead, they'll have to make do with an Old Wooden Bow, an Old Wooden Shield, a Wooden Stick, and some arrows. Thankfully, there's nothing stopping them from using the Fuse ability that they learned in the In-isa Shrine, so players should take advantage of this and fuse the nearby Boulder with their Wooden Stick to even the odds a little.

In terms of strategy, some may opt to snipe the Soldier Constructs from a safe distance, as only one of them is capable of ranged attacks. However, it's both faster and easier to just take out the archer with arrows and then rush in all guns blazing, as the Rock Hammer is able to make pretty light work of the other three foes. Players should try to use the pillars for cover though, as doing so will allow them to sneak up on their enemies and avoid being dogpiled by all three at once.

Once the Soldier Constructs have been taken care of, players will get all of their equipment back and should take a moment to loot the area, being sure to fuse the nearby Spike Ball to one of their weapons as they do so. They can then head through the door and open the chest to get their hands on a Spring Shield, which lowers the energy consumption of any attached Zonai Device. After that, Tears of the Kingdom players can interact with the statue to get their Light of Blessing before being teleported back out to Hyrule Field.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
