Many of the shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have players using Ultrahand to assemble several contraptions with a central theme, and the Sinakawak Shrine is no different. There are three challenges in this shrine, all involving the creation of uplifting devices that can use heat to rise into the air.

Sinakawak Shrine Location in Tears of the Kingdom

Players will likely stumble upon Sinakawak Shrine as they venture northwest out of Central Hyrule towards the Hebra region for the first time. It is found slightly northwest and adjacent to the New Serenne Stable, and being in the flat grassland, the shrine will be hard to miss. Its exact coordinates are: -1413, 0757, 0089.

As players first enter the shrine, they'll want to run ahead up the stairs in front of them, where they will find a balloon stuck under a platform demonstrating the mechanics they'll have to utilize within the shrine. The balloon pieces will lift into the air when a heat source such as a torch or flamethrower is placed beneath them.

Players will know they are successful when the balloon lights up with a soft glow. For this mechanic in Tears of the Kingdom, the heat source does not need to be directly below the balloon but must be in the general area below, as shown in the next picture.

Sinakawak Shrine: First Puzzle

After observing the example balloon in the same area, players can use Ultrahand to assemble their own balloon lift. By attaching a balloon and a nearby brazier to a wooden platform, players can create a makeshift hot air balloon to take them up to the ledge above. Assembled lifts will stay at the top of the room unless the heat source is removed, so players can simply jump off the platform when they reach the top.

Sinakawak Shrine: Second Puzzle

The second puzzle has players use a lifted balloon to hold a button on the ceiling above the closed door. Players can find a torch on the ground, which they can light and attach to the balloon found nearby or, alternatively, use the contraption from the first puzzle to get the job done.

Balloons can still be moved around with Ultrahand when heated, but players should be sure not to let them float too far away, or they may fly out of reach.

Sinakawak Shrine: Third Puzzle

As players enter the final area of the shrine, they are met with a large open room below. To solve the third and final puzzle, they only need to attach the small ball to a balloon and send it upwards with a torch or brazier.

They can use the ladder to climb back up to the top or ride upwards with the ball by attaching a wooden platform. Once at the top, players can use Ultrahand to separate the ball from their contraption and place it in the small hole in front of the left door at the top of the room. Players can then proceed to the statue room and claim their Light of Blessing.

Sinakawak Shrine: Hidden Chest

Though not necessary for completing the shrine, players can complete an additional puzzle to access a hidden Zelda chest behind the right door at the top of the final room.

This involves transporting a much larger ball to the same ledge using slightly more advanced lift mechanics. The excess weight of the ball can be counteracted by proportionally increasing the heat being applied to the balloon.

Looking back over the ledge where the closed doors are located, players can spot the large ball in the lower area behind a wall to the left, surrounded by flamethrowers. Players can easily glide back down to the lower level and begin assembling their new contraption.

The simplest design to lift this ball into the air is to attach a balloon and a flamethrower to the ball on its own and meet it at the top. Alternatively, players can attach a platform and a second flamethrower to the ball and ride up with it.

At the top of the room, players can then shake the ball free, place the ball in the larger hole, and enter the door on the right to receive an Opal from the chest.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
