The Simosiwak Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the many shrines players will encounter during their adventures in Hyrule. To reach and unlock this shrine, the player must travel to one of Hyrule's many Sky Islands.

Like most of the other shrines in the game, Link must pass a test before he can earn the shrine's blessing. Here's how players can locate, activate, and solve the Simosiwak Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.

How to Locate and Unlock The Simosiwak Shrine

The Simosiwak Shrine can be found on Bravery Island in the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago, at sky coordinates 0162, 1971, 0759. To reach this island efficiently, visit the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower, activate the platform to launch into the sky, and then use the paraglider to glide and descend onto Bravery Island. It may be necessary to rest on other islands along the way to replenish Stamina to make the full journey.

After arriving at Bravery Island, the southernmost island featuring a pool of water, the player should speak with the Steward Construct located near the pool. The Steward Construct will explain the Dive Ceremony, and offer a practice round for the player to complete. Successfully navigating through all the green circles and landing in the pool below will activate the entrance to the Simosiwak Shrine.

Completing the practice round will unlock a second dive challenge, which is timed and requires providing the Steward Construct with a Zonai Charge to participate. Completing the second Dive Ceremony rewards Link with the Glide Tights, a crucial piece of the Glide Armor set.

Simosiwak Shrine Walkthrough (Proving Grounds: Lights Out)

Upon entering the Simosiwak Shrine, players will begin a combat challenge called Proving Grounds: Lights Out. They will be stripped of their armor and denied access to any equipment, weapons, materials, or other inventory items. The interior of the Shrine is exceptionally dark, but fortunately, players are provided with access to two Light Shields and a Wooden Stick near the beginning to aid them in navigating through the darkness.

To clear the Shrine, players need to defeat three Construct enemies using only the weapons and devices they find through exploring the Shrine and defeating other enemies. The enemies can be easily located due to their glowing red eyes, but acquiring suitable weapons may require utilizing the Light Shield. The Light Shield will serve as a source of light when drawn, but it will deteriorate with use and will eventually break.

Defeating the Constructs will yield weapons and shields that players can equip, utilize, and Fuse together to make more powerful. Keep an eye out for powerful Flame Emitter devices resting on the ground. These can be held or Fused onto weapons, and their fire damage will prove highly effective against the Constructs within the Shrine. Link appears to have unlimited battery charge inside the Shrine, allowing him to use any Zonai device as much as necessary.

The Shrine may present a considerable challenge for early game players, as Link cannot rely on food or consume any elixirs to replenish his health. However, exploiting the extensive range of the Flame Emitter and Fusing long-range weapons will make quick work of the constructs. Defeat all three Constructs and the gate will open. The player can proceed to open a chest containing a Bright Elixir and interact with the statue to collect the Light of Blessing.
