There are a good number of shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that require challenges outside in the overworld instead of within the shrine. Taninoud Shrine is one of these and requires players to locate and return a crystal to the shrine to complete their challenge.

Players seeking Taninoud Shrine for the first time in Tears of the Kingdom should make use of the Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower in the Hebra region to launch themselves up to the East Hebra Sky Archipelago. The coordinates are -1675, 3574, 0943.

After reaching the archipelago, players will need to use nearby Zonai devices to cross to the deformed plus-shaped island to the northeast. The sky is littered with Aerocuda and Constructs piloting their own machines as players steadily fly to the shrine's island, so players should be wary of their surroundings as they fly.

Upon reaching the island, players will find a Device Dispenser, a large launcher, and an empty stone shell where a shrine should be. Activating the empty shrine platform will give Link a request to seek out a crystal and return it to the shrine. Shortly after, a bright green beam will shoot out from the shrine and appear to end on the side of the nearby island.

The crystal is located within a cave on the neighboring island, and players can easily make their way over by rotating the launcher toward the island via the large wheel in the middle of the island. Once it has been turned toward the other island, Link may stand on the launcher to fly across the gap.

Players can find the crystal's cave by looking off the northeastern face of the island. Players can drop off the side to see a large opening covered in vines. Using fire to burn away the vines or cutting them down, players will find the crystal and all the necessary parts to create another flying machine.

Players can use the parts lying around or incorporate some of their own, but the crystal will need to be attached to whatever flying machine they create.

Once they return to the shrine's island, players can detach the crystal from their machine and carry it over to the shrine.

The shrine will appear and open up, allowing Link to enter. Players will not find any additional challenges waiting inside the shrine, instead finding Rauru's Blessing. Players can open the presented chest for a Topaz and then approach the statue to receive their Light of Blessing.
