The Jochi-ihiga Shrine is one of a handful of shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that challenges players to solve its puzzle outside the shrine rather than within. These shrines, known as Rauru's Blessing Shrines, require the player to locate a large green crystal and bring it to a specific location where the shrine will be revealed.

Once Link has reached this location with the crystal, directed by a green beam of light which it emits, he will be able to enter the shrine and receive its Light of Blessing reward. Here is where to locate both the Jochi-ihiga Shrine and the green crystal required to solve it in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to find the Jochi-ihiga Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

The Jochi-ihiga Shrine is a Rauru's Blessing Shrine that is located in the Akkala Highlands region at coordinates 3809, 1218, 0090, near the Akkala Falls. The key to solving this shrine’s puzzle, however, is located to the northeast, in the village of Tarrey Town. Here the player will find the green crystal needed to gain access to the shrine, though it will both come at a cost and take some effort to bring to its destination.

To solve the puzzle of Jochi-ihiga Shrine, the player must head to Tarrey Town, the beloved settlement Link helped found in Breath of the Wild. There is a land bridge that can be crossed to reach the town at coordinates 4198, 1617, 0141, or they can use the paraglider to sail down to the town from the nearby Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower, located at coordinates 3493, 2019, 0188.

Once the player has reached Tarrey Town, they should seek out Hagie, a Hylian man who is part of another significant quest, Mattison's Independence. Hagie is standing near a railcar track and in front of a large green crystal at coordinates 3921, 1599, 0128.

When the player speaks with Hagie, he’ll offer to sell the crystal to Link for 100 rupees. The player should haggle with Hagie until his wife shows up, then he can purchase the crystal for just 50 rupees. Once Link is the proud new owner of a giant green rock, he’ll need to safely bring it to the Jochi-ihiga Shrine.

If the player hasn’t already, they will need to speak with Hagie again to purchase access to use the railcar which runs between Tarrey Town and the Hudson Construction Site. The railcar is powered by Zonai devices and will be integral in getting the crystal out of Tarrey Town and en route to its final destination.

The player should then pick up the rock, which will cause a message of guidance to appear and cause the rock to emit a green beam pointing toward the destination of the Jochi-ihiga Shrine. This indicates the location to which Link will have to bring the crystal, and to get there he will have to rely on his versatile Ultrahand ability.

If the railcar hasn’t arrived, speak with Hagie, and he will return the player’s 20 rupees and call for the car. Fuse the crystal to the railcar with Ultrahand, then grab the Zonai battery located near Hagie and fuse it to the crystal, so players don’t lose either on the trip down. The position of the crystal on the car may cause some frustration, so be sure that it’s placed in a way that players are not causing too much weight imbalance on the platform.

Once the cart reaches the Hudson Construction Site, the player will discover multiple Zonai batteries and devices to assist in their journey. There is even a Zonai Device Dispenser nearby, but there are more than enough freely available devices lying around the camp to aid in reaching the shrine without much trouble.

There are a few devices which are capable of propulsion, but, if the surrounding water is any hint, the player will be fine relying on Zonai fans. The player should grab at least two of the nearby Zonai fans and a fresh Zonai battery if needed, and fuse them to the green crystal for easy transport.

Pick up the fused pile of items and follow the green beam until reaching a shallow beach. The beam extends across the water, so Link will need to construct a device to continue the rest of the way. He can either gather a nearby Zonai glider or chop down trees for logs to assemble a raft.

Attach the fans, battery, and crystal to the raft, then use the Ultrahand to carry it down the beach until the beam is pointing to the shrine with nothing in its way. Once at this point, place the raft into the water, activate the fans and sail toward the Jochi-ihiga Shrine.

Once the player has reached the shrine, hop off the raft then carefully detach the green crystal. Place the green crystal near the shrine, and it will activate a cutscene granting entrance to the Jochi-ihiga Shrine. The player can then enter the shrine and claim a chest containing a Diamond along with their well-deserved Light of Blessing.
