How to Locate and Unlock The Iun-orok Shrine

To begin their journey to the Iun-orok Shrine, the player should head to the Tanagar Canyon West Cave, located at coordinates -3326, 0783, -0096. The area is north of Piper Ridge, at the foot of the cliff. It is recommended that the player is adequately prepared to break through numerous dense rock walls and deal with multiple Like-Likes once inside the cave.

Despite the need to break a lot of rock walls, Bomb Flowers are uncommon in the cave. Thankfully, when breaking the rock walls, drop low quality weapons can drop alongside the rocks, allowing the player to continuously Fuse weapons for breaking through the rocks when necessary.

Upon entering the cave, proceed down to the cave floor, where players will discover a small staircase with a massive doorway obstructed by breakable rocks. To clear the path, the player has a couple of options: either utilize Bomb Flowers to break through, or Fuse one of the many rocks with a weapon and use it to clear a path through the rocks. Continue breaking the rocks until reaching the other side and enter another vast cavern.

In this room, the player will arrive between fallen pillars and have the option of continuing left or right. Both paths will have an Ice Like. The player should beware of its ice breath, as it will deal damage and temporarily freeze them. It doesn’t matter which direction the player chooses, though it should be noted that the rocks on the right side are easier to break. Again, use Bomb Flowers or Fused weapons to break the rocks.

Avoid wasting time breaking through the blue rock walls, as they take more effort and are never necessary to clear. Instead, focus on clearing the orange rock walls when navigating through the cave.

This will lead into yet another cavern, where the player should head left. They will have to deal with a Shock Like on the nearby wall, who will shoot a series of five projectiles. Defeating the Shock Like will reward the player with a chest containing a Kite Shield. Once more, the player will need to break the large stone wall to proceed. Inside the newly opened area, the player will discover the Iun-orok Shrine.

Iun-orok Shrine Walkthrough (The Right Roll)

The Iun-orok Shrine features multiple ball rolling puzzles that will require use of Link’s Ultrahand ability. Upon entering the Shrine, the player will immediately come across a large stone ball. Use Ultrahand to grab the ball and roll it down the ramp aiming, at the large button at the foot of the ramp. This will activate the switch and open the door.

In the next room, the player will encounter two balls and an angled path toward the next switch. Use Ultrahand to fuse the two balls together, then position them so that there is a ball on each side of the ramp. Release the balls, and they will roll down and activate the next switch.

In the next room, the player will find three balls of different sizes. To reach the chest on the upper left platform, use Ultrahand to fuse the three balls together and make a staircase-like structure that Link can use to jump up to the chest platform and collect some arrows.

The final ball puzzle features a perilous ramp, but the player can avoid dealing with this challenge by using Ultrahand to carry the three fused balls to the end of the ramp. Position the balls slightly above the switch and as close to the wall as possible. Upon releasing them, they should activate the switch leading into the exit.

Interact with the shrine to receive the Light of Blessing and exit the Shrine. Once outside, the player can head back into the cave just a few steps until they are able to use the Ascend ability to exit the cave.
