There are tons of armor sets for players to collect in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Some act just like their counterparts in Breath of the Wild, helping Link survive extreme temperatures or imbuing him with added stealth. There are even armor sets that will raise the hero's attack power in certain situations. A great example is the Charged Armor, which gives Link additional power in thunderstorms, allowing him to quickly lay waste to any enemies.

Unfortunately, players won't be able to snag the armor early on, and they'll need to go through quite a bit of the story before it's available. Here's a look at how to snag the Charged Armor set in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Before Players Can Get The Charged Armor In Tears Of The Kingdom

In order to unlock the ability to collect the Charged Armor, players will first need to progress the story and deal with the Four Regional Phenomena plaguing Hyrule. There are four separate issues that players need to deal with, one in Rito Village, Zora's Domain, Goron City, and Gerudo Town. After players have dealt with each Regional Phenomena, they will head to Hyrule Castle and deal with a situation there. Once players have done so, they can return to Purah at Lookout Landing and receive a new quest that will take them to Kakariko Village, where they will need to speak to Paya.

After players research the Fifth Ring inside Kakariko Village and show Tauro a photo of the Zonaite slab, the research team will take off toward the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. Once there, players can speak to the NPC near a small tent, who will alert them that Tauro has taken off toward Dracozu Lake, which is just Southeast of the Skyview Tower itself. This is the area where players will find the complete Charged Armor Set, but they must have progressed the main quest up to this point.

The Charged Shirt is the first armor piece that players will find, and they can spot it by traveling to Dracozu Lake and heading into the open doorway filled with light just beyond the lit campfire. The campfire is easy to spot if players jump down the cliffside and glide from the area Southeast of Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. Tauro will be in this room admiring a mural and players will find the chest containing the armor just above him.

The second armor piece players will snag is the Charged Trousers, and they're relatively easy to find. To get them, Link just needs to travel a bit south, down the bending river. This time, an open and brightly lit door can be found on the Western riverbank, just around the first riverbed. This room is almost identical to the one players find Tauro in and the chest is in the same spot.

The final piece of the Charged armor is further down the river near the words "Dracozu River" on the map. Players should be able to spot a doorway filled with light, but this one features some overhanging vines that are blocking the entrance. To get in, players simply need to toss a Fire Fruit or used a fire-based weapon or Zonai Device to clear the blockage and enter the space. Inside, players should find the Headdress in a chest at the top of the room.

With the complete set, players can put it on, head to the very end of the Dracozu River (the tail tip end), and place a Zonai Charge on the altar there to continue their Main Quest.
