The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom may feature new concepts and ideas not seen before in the long-running franchise, but it still calls back to the older games with little mementos and armor pieces. One of those armor pieces that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild players may recognize is the Champion's Tunic.

The blue Champion's Tunic that Link predominantly wore in the previous game is back in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Players also do not have to wait very long in the game to get the tunic, but it can be a mystery if players do not know where to look, especially when it is located in the last place that players would want to travel to at the beginning of the game. This guide will show players where to go and what to do to get the Champion's Tunic.

How To Get The Champion's Tunic

The Champion's Tunic is located in Hyrule Castle, though players do not have to venture deep to get the clothing and get out. It is also imperative for players to unlock the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower to make traveling to the castle a lot easier.

Players who launch from the tower will be able to use the paraglider and glide straight to the castle's front entrance. A few stamina upgrades or summoning Tulin may be necessary to reach the front entrance a lot easier, though players can always eat stamina-replenishing food midair to keep going without the extra help.

Once at the entrance, the Champion's Tunic will be hidden in the first room called the Sanctum. Walk up the stairs to find two unlit braziers in front of a giant bird statue. Light both of braziers with either a lit torch or using Fire Fruit to cause a brief cutscene of the bird statue sliding over.

Players can jump up to the base of the statue to find a treasure chest in a hidden compartment under the bird. It will contain the Champion's Leathers, or tunic, and has an armor stat of five. There is nothing special ability-wise about the tunic but can give a slight boost for players just starting out or those that really miss their old threads from Breath of the Wild.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available for the Nintendo Switch.
