What Does the Vah Ruta Divine Helm Do?

The Vah Ruta Divine Helm increases swim speed by a small amount when worn. Although it does not belong to any matching armor sets, the helmet can stack its swim speed boost with that of other swimming gear. The helmet's description also says that when worn by a Hylian, the bond with Zora is deepened between them.

Where to Find the Vah Ruta Divine Helm in Tears of the Kingdom

Players seeking the Vah Ruta Divine Helm will want to fast travel to Zora's Domain using the nearby Mogawak Shrine. From there, players can swim over to and down the waterfall to the southwest. Staying as close to the cliff behind the waterfall as Link goes over betters a player's chances of not getting swept away by the current.

If coming from the other direction, players can use their glider to pass through the waterfall and should aim towards the middle. Without any swim speed-boosting armor, Link will not be able to outswim the current of the water from this side.

Alternatively, they can use Zonai Devices, such as a wing or makeshift motorboat, to pass through the waterfall or attempt to scale the sides of the cliff and jump through.

Once players reach the other side of the waterfall, they will find themselves at the entrance to the Cave Under Zora's Domain. Link can then glide down to the lower level, but players should be sure not to fall down into the entrance of the Chasm Under Zora's Domain or the surrounding Gloom.

Players should instead approach the waterfall in the back of the cave and once more pass through. A simple jump and glide from the closest rock should be all that Link needs to pass through the waterfall.

Using Link's amiibo ability, players are able to gain this rare helmet in a different way. Just as it did in Breath of the Wild, scanning a Mipha amiibo will drop some fish and chests with the chance of containing the Vah Ruta Divine Helm.
