As players start exploring the kingdom of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they will soon notice that the world is incredibly dangerous, as it is riddled with all sorts of monsters. This entry to the Zelda series gave its fans the unusual ability to fuse weapons with all sorts of objects, allowing them to create their own arsenal of powerful and unique weapons.

This guide will give players some weapon-fusion suggestions for the early stages of Tears of the Kingdom. Gamers have already come up with tons of combinations using the Fuse ability, and here are some of the most powerful early on.

Bokoblin Arms

Stalkoblins are one of the first few monsters that gamers will stumble upon after setting foot into Tears of the Kingdom's Hyrule. These enemies are sentient, skeletal remains of Bokoblins. They're quite weak and fragile, so to defeat them, players only need to hit them to detach their skull from the rest of the skeleton, and then hit the skull another time to finish them - it only has 1 HP.

Stalkoblins always drop a Bokoblin Arm as loot once defeated, and it's actually a pretty handy melee weapon. Unfortunately, its durability is quite low since it's made of old bones, but they are an incredibly strong weapon at the start of the game.

The Bokoblin Arm has 20 base Attack Power, and it's definitely a good fusing option. Since it'll break not too long after being used, gamers won't want to fuse any material onto it, but they should definitely fuse it onto a base weapon in order to add 20 Attack Power to it. Once it breaks, if they have any extra in their inventory, they can simply fuse the base weapon with another Bokoblin Arm.

Spears-On-Spear Fusion

In Tears of the Kingdom, it's possible to fuse just about anything. Gamers can even fuse spears with other spears.

Those that aren't too familiar with the combat system in Tears of the Kingdom should consider fusing two long weapons together because, although this might not create the strongest weapon in the game, it's a great way to ensure that an enemy will keep their distance from the player.

This way, enemies that don't have any ranged weapons or longer melee weapons won't get a chance to hit the player. The Long Stick, the Traveler's Spear, and the Rusty Halbert are pretty common long weapons in the earlier stages of the game.

Gamers that enjoy combat with longer weapons should fuse a Lizalfos Tail to a spear to create a Lizal Tail Whip. When a Lizalfos Tail is attached to the end of a weapon, it does a whipping motion when used, extending its range.

Monster Horns

Monster parts are some of the best materials to fuse with weapons. They don't have a durability meter, so they will never break; they will remain attached until the player unfuses the material or the weapon breaks.

Monster Horns are particularly useful for weapon fusion, as they can greatly increase a weapon's base Attack Power - most likely a result of their sharp edges. Horns can drop as loot from taking down monsters in the kingdom of Hyrule, so players should have a few in their inventory pretty early on. Here are the Fuse Attack Power stats for some of the most common early-game enemies:

  • Bokoblin Horn: 4 Fuse Attack Power
  • Captain Construct I Horn: 5 Fuse Attack Power
  • Horriblin Horn: 5 Fuse Attack Power
  • Moblin Horn: 6 Fuse Attack Power
  • Blue Bokoblin Horn: 7 Fuse Attack Power
  • Lizalfos Horn: 8 Fuse Attack Power

If they press Y, players can sort the Materials tab in their inventory by Fuse Attack Power to check out their most powerful fusing options. They can also do this when quick-selecting a material with the D-pad Up button in-game.

Since they won't break, players should fuse their high Fuse Attack Power monster parts with their best and most durable weapons - this guarantees that they won't be wasted on a weapon that will not survive many hits, such as the Bokoblin Arm, for example.
