Where to Find Courser Bee Honey in TotK

Courser Bee Honey is a fairly common item if players know where to look. It's a useful material for cooking to create stamina-recovering meals and elixirs. The honey can be obtained by knocking down Courser Bee hives hanging in various trees across Hyrule.

While they spawn randomly, players will have the best luck locating hives in forested or grassy areas with several trees. Players should also listen closely for the buzz of the Courser Bees as they walk through the area to help hone in on their location.

To obtain the honey, players should approach the hive and knock it off the tree with an arrow or weapon. The bees will sting Link if he gets too close and will start to chase him once the hive has been hit.

One or two hits from a weapon should cause the bees to disperse, and players will then be able to pick up the Courser Bee Honey from the ground.

In Tears of the Kingdom, players have the freedom to attach countless items to Link's weapons and shields for interesting new effects. To make Honeycomb Gear, players need to get their hands on some Courser Bee Honey. After dropping it or finding it on the ground, players can use the Fuse ability to combine the material with their gear.

Just like when Link tosses Courser Bee Honey at a group of enemies, a swarm of bees will spring forth from the hive on the Honeycomb Weapon when Link swings it. Likewise, successfully defending a hit with a Honeycomb Shield will send bees toward the attacker.

In both cases, new bees cannot be summoned until the previous swarm dissipates. Players should be warned that while the bees will fly out toward the enemy, they can still sting Link if he gets too close.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
