Piper Ridge

This location has the highest concentration of Mighty Thistle spawns, making it a top location for gathering this potent ingredient. To reach this area, players can either travel to Rito Village via the Gatakis Shrine fast travel point, or take Rospro Pass Skyview Tower and head far south to Nero Hill, above Piper Ridge. If taking the Rito Village route, make sure to wear appropriate cold-weather gear or carry food to maintain Link's body temperature.

A quick route to reach Piper Ridge is to uncover and clear the Iun-orok Shrine, which will provide a fast travel point at the foot of Piper Ridge. This shrine is underground, so the player will need to use the Ascend ability to leave the cave. Once they reach the surface, ascend the ridge and, at coordinates -3547, 0748, 0186, they will find a small pond at the northwestern corner of Piper Ridge. This location is easily visible on the world map. Here, players will discover an abundance of Mighty Thistle plants alongside multiple Silent Princess flowers. There is even a Korok seed to collect, making it a worthwhile visit.

Near Koto Pond

Near Koto Pond, at coordinates 2490, -2589, 0166, players can find three spawns of Mighty Thistle on the ledges of Mount Taran. The easiest way to reach this spot is by fast traveling to Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower, then paragliding north to the designated area.

South of Floria River

A small patch of Mighty Thistle grows just south of the Floria River text on the map, at coordinates 1237, -3384, 0043. Three plants can be found along the road, which the player can follow northwest while collecting them. Consider completing the nearby Joju-u-u Shrine for a fast travel point in the vicinity.

Riola Spring

Located around coordinates 1825, -2886, 0241, just southwest of Mount Floria, Riola Spring is home to at least four spawning points for Mighty Thistle. This area can be reached by using the paraglider after launching from the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower, though it will require significant Stamina to glide the entire way.

Mighty Thistle Uses in Tears of the Kingdom

Mighty Thistle is a desirable ingredient in Tears of the Kingdom as they are used in cooking recipes to grant Link a low-level or mid-level attack power buff. Mighty Thistle can be added to any recipe to add this attack power buff. However, it is important to keep in mind that it should not be combined with ingredients that offer other status buffs, nor should it be combined with monster parts when attempting to cook.
