The Fuse ability introduced in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has given combat a much-needed boost, including the ability to fuse absolutely anything to arrowheads. As a result, there are plenty of elemental fruits to be found across Hyrule for Link to use at any given moment, including the Splash Fruit.

The teal, pear-shaped fruit is essentially a water balloon that can drench enemies but is mainly used during one of the four main quest lines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While there is an abundance of Splash Fruit in particular areas, players may be wondering exactly where they can stock up and what else they can do with them outside of combat.

Where to Find Splash Fruit

Splash Fruit locations in Hyrule

Splash Fruit can mainly be found in and around Zora’s Domain, including Lanayru Great Spring, Upland Zorana around the Skyview Tower, the Lanayru Wetlands, and next to the Wetland Stable. Outside Zora’s Domain, Splash Fruit can be collected in West Necluda near the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower and the Batrea and South Nabli Lakes. Farosh Hills and Tuft Mountain are also home to Splash Fruit, in addition to Gerudo Canyon near the Rakashog Shrine and Mount Gustaf on Hyrule Field. Players may come across Splash Fruit trees on some of the Sky Islands, as well as in caves and the Depths.

Splash Fruit can also be bought from Coral Reef in Zora’s Domain, but players won’t be able to purchase the item until they complete the “Sidon of the Zora” main quest.

What Are Splash Fruit Used For?

Splash Fruit contains pressurized water, which will burst when thrown or fused onto an object. Players will most likely come across the item for the first time when exploring Zora’s Domain, where they’ll use it to clear away sludge plaguing the area. Opals and Blue Chuchu Jelly also provide the same effect, but Splash Fruit trees are abundant here.

When fused to shields, arrows, and weapons or thrown, the combat effect will dowse enemies in water. The same effect can be produced to cool down Link in hot environments if players drop and strike the Splash Fruit with a weapon or arrow.

Can Splash Fruit Be Used In Cooking?

Splash Fruit can also be used in recipes, providing Link with a boosted swim speed - the same effect as the Zora Armor Set. Players won’t be able to get the full set until after completing the “Sidon of the Zora” main quest, so this is an easy and effective way to replicate the effect. Whether heading up to the Water Temple or completing side quests around Zora’s Domain, Link will do a lot of swimming.
