Quick Links
There are a ton of problems in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that, apparently, only Link can solve – not including the main Regional Phenomena questline. On the way to Gerudo Town via Gerudo Canyon, players will come across some travelers who got split up from the rest of their group.
Found south of the Outskirt Stable, and south of Digdogg Bridge, the travelers that give Link the quest can be found in the shade of a tent beneath the ruins. Their three traveling companions Giro, Garill, and Botrick all got lost in the Gerudo Canyon, and are dealing with the extreme temperature fluctuations of the area. It's up to Link to find all three to complete this Tears of the Kingdom side quest.
Disaster in Gerudo Canyon Missing Traveler Locations
To pick up this quest, head to the coordinates (-1669, -2022, -0016) and talk to either Quince or Nenea. They will explain the situation, and ask Link to bring back their lost companions. They also mention the best places to look – in the shade during the high heat of the day and by fires during the freezing cold of the night.
Two of the travelers can easily be found outdoors, as they both sit near the main path to the larger Gerudo Desert. The third is only found in a cave, hiding from monsters that threaten his escape. To access Gerudo Canyon, players must answer a series of questions about surviving in the Desert, but the questions aren't hard. Once each traveler is found, they require something different from Link so they can make it back.
Lost Traveller #1: Giro (-1893, -2356, -0001)
Giro is the easiest to find, as he can be found in the daytime laying near the main road under the shade of Sky Island rubble. He will ask Link for a Splash Fruit, and will return to the other travelers once provided one.
Lost Traveller #2: Garill (-2197, -1863, -0152)
Garill can be found resting by a fire near his tent later at night, and to survive the cold, he requires a Spicy Pepper from Link. Once given, he will head back to the other travelers, too.
Lost Traveller #3: Botrick (-1523, -2227, -0018)
Botrick is the hardest to find of the three Disaster in Gerudo Canyon missing people, because he can't be seen from the outside – not very well at least. He can be found cowering behind a stone wall in the Stalry Plateau Cave south of the curve that leads north in Gerudo Canyon, but there's reason for his cowardice. After talking to Botrick, Link has to fight off two Lizalfos that threatened his escape. Once killed, Botrick heads back to the other travelers, completing Disaster in Gerudo Canyon.
Rewards for Completing Disaster in Gerudo Canyon
After all three missing travelers have been found, head back to the tent south of Digdogg Bridge and speak with either Quince or Nenea again For rescuing each of their missing friends, the travelers give Link a pretty good reward of 10 Bomb Flowers – an invaluable resource for battles against Molduga, Talus, and most other bosses in the game.
